4 Words: Joseph
Genesis
37:1-12 (Joseph & His Brothers)
Family:
· Discussion: How many people live in your house? Name
brother/sister/father/ mother/ uncle/ aunt/ nephew/ niece/ grandfather/
grandmother/ son/ daughter/ brother-in-law/sister-in-law/ in school language
and home language.
(ADDITIONAL NOTE: there might not be direct translations for terms for
family from one language to another. For example, the English word
"cousin" includes male and female cousins; Spanish has two separate
words. Some languages have separate words for elder brother or senior sister
and younger brother or junior sister; Dutch has no separate word for
"nephew" and "male cousin" or "niece" and
"female cousin." Pay attention to these differences.
They point to cultural differences in family relationships.)
